Winter drinks-3

Tahini Hot Chocolate

Ingredients (2-4 servings)

  • 1 (13.5 oz) can light coconut milk
  • 1/4 cup of cocoa powder
  • 3 tablespoons of tahini
  • 2 tablespoons of honey
  • 1/4 teaspoons of salt
  • A splash of vanilla extract
  • A pinch of cinnamon

Preparation

  • Whisk all ingredients together and warm over medium heat.
  • Serve with whipped cream, marshmallows, a cinnamon stick, or even a candy canes.

Gingerbread moka

Ingredients gingerbread syrup

  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 4 tablespoon molasses
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Ingredients moka (2 servings)

  • 2 cups chocolate milk
  • 2 cups freshly brewed coffee
  • 3 tablespoons gingerbread syrup (can add more if desired)

Syrup preparation

  • In a small saucepan, heat the water, brown sugar, molasses, ginger, and cinnamon on medium heat and bring to a light boil, lower the heat, and let simmer for about 8 minutes, stirring every so often.
  • Remove from the heat and let cool. Syrup will thicken. You can make the syrup in advance and store in a container in the fridge.

Moka preparation

  • Mix the milk and coffee in a saucepan over medium heat, once hot incorporated the syrup.
  • You can add topping like whipped cream and cinnamon if you want.
