Tahini Hot Chocolate
Ingredients (2-4 servings)
- 1 (13.5 oz) can light coconut milk
- 1/4 cup of cocoa powder
- 3 tablespoons of tahini
- 2 tablespoons of honey
- 1/4 teaspoons of salt
- A splash of vanilla extract
- A pinch of cinnamon
Preparation
- Whisk all ingredients together and warm over medium heat.
- Serve with whipped cream, marshmallows, a cinnamon stick, or even a candy canes.
Gingerbread moka
Ingredients gingerbread syrup
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 4 tablespoon molasses
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Ingredients moka (2 servings)
- 2 cups chocolate milk
- 2 cups freshly brewed coffee
- 3 tablespoons gingerbread syrup (can add more if desired)
Syrup preparation
- In a small saucepan, heat the water, brown sugar, molasses, ginger, and cinnamon on medium heat and bring to a light boil, lower the heat, and let simmer for about 8 minutes, stirring every so often.
- Remove from the heat and let cool. Syrup will thicken. You can make the syrup in advance and store in a container in the fridge.
Moka preparation
- Mix the milk and coffee in a saucepan over medium heat, once hot incorporated the syrup.
- You can add topping like whipped cream and cinnamon if you want.
